[1] 【Japan】Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony / Graduate School Commencement Ceremony for AY2025

The commencement ceremonies for the undergraduate school‚ graduate school and the Acupuncture and Physical Therapy Teacher Training School for the academic year 2025 were held at the University Hall on March 25. Graduating students included 2,124 undergraduate students, 2,282 graduate students, and 7 Acupuncture and Physical Therapy Teacher Training School students.

   

[2] 【Malaysia】Global Student Leadership Summit (GSLS) 2026 Co-Hosted with University of Malaya

The University of Tsukuba co‑hosted the Global Student Leadership Summit 2026 with the University of Malaya in Tsukuba from January 9–11. Over 150 students joined academic sessions, leadership workshops, and cultural exchanges, strengthening Malaysia–Japan ties and fostering future global leaders.

   

[3] 【Brazil】University of Tsukuba Marks 10 Years of Study in Japan Project in São Paulo

The University of Tsukuba held the Study in Japan Project’s 10th anniversary ceremony in São Paulo, marking a decade of collaboration in South America and presenting an honorary doctorate to Dr. Renato Ishikawa.

   

[4] Official Website for ITF.F Project Now Live

The University of Tsukuba has launched the official website for the IMAGINE THE FUTURE. Forum (ITF.F), a new industry‑focused R&D hub. Set for completion in March 2028, the project will provide wet and dry labs across three buildings and is now inviting companies to join.

【Vietnam】TUAN Reunion Held in Vietnam

On December 10, 2025, TUAN held a reunion in Hanoi, organized by Dr. Ngo Thi Lan Phuong with local alumni. Six alumni and two staff members on short-term training programs joined to reconnect, exchange views, and plan TUAN’s growth in Vietnam.

   

【France】TUAN Reunion Held in France

A TUAN gathering was held in Bordeaux on January 12, with President Nagata, Vice President Ohneda, and nine alumni. The event underscored TUAN’s growing role in connecting overseas alumni, and activities in France are expected to continue expanding.

   

【Brazil】TUAN Reunion Held in Brazil

A TUAN gathering was held in São Paulo on February 8 with President Nagata, Vice President Ohneda, and six alumni. Participants reconnected and looked ahead to strengthening TUAN activities in Brazil.

【India】TUAN Reunion Held in India

The fourth TUAN gathering in India was held on February 18, bringing together eight alumni. With new members joining, the network continues to grow, and regular meetings are helping strengthen alumni ties across the region.

   

[6] 【Applications Now Open】Join UTMy’s Transdisciplinary Science & Design Program

The University of Tsukuba, Malaysia (UTMy) in Kuala Lumpur—our first overseas campus offering a Japanese-accredited degree—is now accepting applications for the School of Transdisciplinary Science and Design. The program blends problem‑based learning, design thinking, and data‑science skills to help students take on real‑world global issues.
